Fun for the Little Ones

Little Sports

My six-year-old had camp a few weeks ago, which gave me the opportunity to take my 2-year-old daughter to some places that he’s outgrown. On our first day out, we met friends for open play time at Little Sport in Maple Shade. I’d never been before, although the facility has been there for a while. Even though they’ve been open for over a decade, the equipment and play structures are very well-maintained.

The gym was very spacious and filled with fun for little ones. There were giant kickballs, ride on toys, and a fun climbing structure that my daughter eventually mastered. There are trampolines and balancing toys. My daughter loved the saddle swings.

Check their website for open play hours, party packages, and classes. You’re able to bring your own food in too, and they have a small area to eat.

Address: 120 E. Kings Highway, Maple Shade, NJ 08052

Cost: $10 per child; $5 for crawlers (no charge for adults or infants who do not yet crawl)

Good to Know: Socks must be worn in the play area; age max is 6 years old

Jelly Bean Jungle

The next day, we met more friends at Jelly Bean Jungle in Marlton. My son always loved it here, so I was glad to have the chance to bring my daughter. While the equipment is older, everything is clean and there is a lot for kids to do. They have a climbing structure much like Little Sport, only larger, as well as a big spinning ride, and two ball pits. My daughter loves the dress up selection and the area where interactive games are projected on the floor for the kids to play.

Jelly Bean Jungle allows you to bring your own food in with a nice seating area. They also offer a variety of snacks and kid friendly lunches at reasonable prices. Be sure to check their open play hours. They also offer birthday party packages and preschool programs.

Address: 230 N Maple Ave, Evesham Township, NJ 08053

Cost: $9 per child; $4.50 for infants 9-11 months; free for 2 adults per child and children 8 months and younger

Good to Know: Socks must be worn in the play area; max age is 5; military discounts
