Waterford Township has a Maker Day

Waterford Township held it's annual Maker Day as part of NJ Maker Day. The event was held in the Thomas Richards Elementary School, and was hosted by Waterford Township Public Library, and the Waterford Township School District. The event promotes STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning for all age groups. In the cafeteria students from Camden County College's video game design program showed off demos of their games.

Dylan Ott, a designer for the game Quintaria, stated the game involves "strategy, a lot of math, a lot of thinking about what you're going to do, the risk you're taking..."

When describing the Virtual Reality experience, Bella, who didn't say her last name, stated "it was cool, it was hard though" when describing her VR experience.

The all around reception of the Maker Day was very well, a lot of people appeared to have been having a good time during the event. I recommend coming to next year's Maker Day if you have the time. Did I mention it's free?
